Knowing how to identify and deal with grievances is crucial.

Any written communication which makes a complaint regarding a wide range of issues - is treated as a formal grievance. Failure to recognise a grievance and comply with the current statutory rules will lead to automatic penalties, which could be as high as 50% being added to any award. Our video can show you how to hold a statutory grievance meeting.

The disciplinary process must also be conducted in a manner which complies with the latest statuatory rules. Our 'How to Conduct a Disciplinary Enquiry' video can show you how to conduct a disciplinary enquiry, and also shows what happens if a witness is allowed to interfere with the progress of a meeting.

Question - do you know the answers to the following yes/no questions?

:: Can you take 6 weeks to deal with a grievance?

:: Can you dismiss a 17 year old employee who has been with you for
3 weeks and now wishes to take time off for study leave?
